Tarot decks share roots with several other types of playing cards, primarily from Southern Europe. In addition to the numbered and Royalty cards from the four suites found in modern American playing decks, the Tarot contains 22 "Major Arcana" cards, commonly held to symbolize various aspects and stages of the soul's journey through life. Tarot cards have been used both for games and for divination since at least the 1700's and are now arguably the most popular tool for divination in the English-speaking world. Cards are laid out in geometric pattern called a "Spread", with each card-position representing a different aspect of the reading. Card meanings are affected both by their position and by the other cards present.

Many modern decks borrow elements from either the "Rider-Waite" deck, commissioned by Christian mystic Arthur Edward Waite , or the "Thoth Tarot", commissioned by occult guru Aleister Crowley. Many readers gravitate towards the symbolism of one or the other. I utilize a very simple Rider-Waite deck in my own work, as the clean, but complex symbolism and plain style of the cards connects well with my focus as a reader. In these readings, I cast spreads of between 5 and 14 cards, depending on the needs and focus of the questions being asked.

While an email reading has some limitations because of the space available, you will Not just be getting a few card descriptions and a request to spend more money. This is a real psychic reading, with entirely original psychic insight and information, Specifically about the question you submit. While I may include information about other reading options if your question is more complex, please know that there is never any pressure to pay for more time. I don't offer "mini-readings", specifically because I want to be able to spend real time and energy on every single question. :)
