You have your choice of size here: 1X, 2X, or 3X. I ask though that you let me know right away what size you need so I can get the remaining sizes back up.
This is just in from the international show. I usually try to keep my shopping to dresses under 50 bucks unless it's hot designer funky stuff, and this is a notch above, but when you see these dresses, you'll understand why I just couldn't pass 'em up. I've also taken to buying from the higher end of the hippie garb companies because the stuff is simply made better. The old "you get what you pay for" adage fits this stuff.
Yes, it's sleeveless, with a pretty full shoulder, but wear it into Fall with a nice shrug. Anyway, this dress is fabulous and you can dress it up or down.
The color is a true greeny sage (not the gray that so often gets called sage). There's a pinch more green than the pictures--sorry I had to take with a flash so it lightened 'em up too much. See the second picture? It's closer to true with the green--not dark dark, but a spring sagey green.
There are 2 fabrics here--but wait! First, this is rayon. I know, I know, there's a billion different types of rayon these days. This is the heavy--drapey hand, feels like heavy spun Moroccan cotton rayon. Still cool water wash but such a beautiful hand, especially when it comes to the flowy or spinny (if you're a dancer) bottom. Now the fabrics--one is plain --though there's lots of nice tonal embroidery on these panels; and one is an embossed sort of jacquard--still the same hand in the fabric but so pretty especially mixed and pieced like this.
Sort of a patchwork style and the piecing is done vertically, accenting your height-- epecially with that flowy bottom and the longer length on this one. Can you see how the piecing widens and then is swooped and then more piecing into that making up the big sort of ruffle at the bottom? But ruffle isn't the best descriptive word-- it's just full and flowy. A great dancer dress.

The bust has the piecing done on the diagonal The piecing is separated by some fancy "S" trim. At the waist there is a big crochet trim piece and this is lined there, so no see thru. Actually, that bigger crochet trim joins all the piecing, and though it's a wider crochet, this crochet trim IS lined.
I'm including a shot of the middle back. Look at that tie! It's wide and awesome. Also, the back piecing has no embroidery. It's pieced the same as the front, but downplayed-- without the tonal embroidery. I think that's best for this one. An all around fabulous "hippie" dress that you can wear at least 3 seasons. To my eye this would look killer with a short jacket and boots. And if you plan on cruising this winter-- this one is a perfect choice!
Always go by the measurements rather than the size marked, since there is really no standard from company to company. Measurements are taken with the garment layed flat and measured across the front only. Be sure to double and then subtract your own "wiggle room".

Bust: 22" from underarm to underarm at the top side seam. (you can also tighten the big tie in the back too if needed)

Waist: 26"

***Measurements*** Size 2X
Bust: 23" from underarm to underarm at the top side seam. (you can also tighten the big tie in the back too if needed)

There is LOTS of fabric here and it IS the weighty stuff, thus the shipping is more, sorry.

If you've not purchased from me before, please check my feedback and buy with confidence. I'm constantly adding to my stock. I shop 3 huge shows per year and then take off another 3 times on buying excursions. I don't buy distressed factory blow out stuff. I try to find the newest and killer styles!
I'm also building a folder of photos of real buyers in my funky garb so I can put a collage page together here and at the website. If you buy it, love it and wouldn't mind modeling it, please send a picture!

I do accept RME a great way to pay! Should you wish to pay using RME, please select money order and I will invoice you via RME. Right now I'm not able to put the RME button up on Bonanzle.
