BUFFALO SOLDIER MEMORABILIA
IS RAPIDLY DISAPPEARING

FACTUAL REPRESENTATION
OF OUR WESTERN TREASURES

Friends, let’s be honest about the past. The Buffalo Soldier faced hardship and discrimination. Their pay was $13.00 per month. Seldom were they awarded commendation for their achievements. Their courage actually built up an enviable records while battling both enemies and white renegades that prowled the western frontier. They were Negro and Black and, truth is, newspaper reporters and correspondents and photographers kinda disregarded or downgraded them as this story relates in an unusual Post notice as published here. They were sometimes called Moacs, Brunettes, N _ _ _ _ _ _ _, Orphans, Africans and Buffalo Soldiers.
They were given mounts not fit to ride – outdated and used uniforms, their food was inferior – the bread usually sour – butter rancid, beef of poor quality and canned staples unfit for consumption. Yet, through it all, the “Buffalo Soldier” fought as relentlessly as his white counterparts. We all owe them a deep sense of gratitude. I hope you will join me in honoring them.
Fortunately, this great story was saved and photographs of Buffalo Soldiers saved for posterity. In this story, (and one of few I have ever found), there is a realistic and sympathetic approach to the record of our Buffalo Soldier. I have named and (even looked up references and first names) of these patriots because their names have seldom been recorded in western pioneer history except as a group known as “Buffalo Soldiers”. And remember, that they were led by white officers who crossed the race line. For this, they were ridiculed by other officers but some (and I have named them here) were especially kind and impartial. Here is a rare western story entitled

THE BUFFALO SOLDIER I KNEW

Please read this. There were many a western story published – the common ones about Cowboys and Indians are listed on Ebay every day but the rarer ones about the pioneers of the old west like this one are seldom found. Collectors treasure them and their price guide value rises every day. They are hard to find. I hunt them out because really the better, untold and rarer stories were published in the rest.

Here’s one of ‘em.

Following my retirement, I have dedicated my remaining hours to indexing the Genealogy of our western pioneers. During my research, I discovered that thousands of our kinfolk lay unfound and unrecognized on some book dealer’s shelf. Because Old Western History and Memorabilia was printed before computer indexing, I index every item I sell.

This complete index will be bound and included in this offering at no additional cost.
Humbly, I am trying to keep our history alive
I hope you appreciate the effort.

Folks, sooner or later - Genealogists are going to realize that their family kinfolks are laying on some dealer's dusty shelves. BUFFALO SOLDIER MEMORABILIA
IS RAPIDLY DISAPPEARING

While others clip ads from magazines, I save history. It’s a shame that our past is being lost. It’s as simple as that.

My wife kids me that after I find a piece I like, buy it, read it, research it, take a picture, scan it, write the blurb, pay the Ebay entry fee and commission, that I end up making about 50 cents an hour. But, OH HOW I LOVE THIS OLD WESTERN HISTORY. What a story, Rare Story!!! Great Pictures. You will love it as it was published in this old complete western magazine of many years ago. The issue is in good condition, the cover is in vibrant color.
As clearly stated in my description, this is featured story in a rarely found and seldom read unusual and complete western magazine. I don't give out name of publication or date because I have caught competitors copying my index and work and trying to sell it as theirs. I hope you understand.
Buyer pays postage of $3.50 First Class Postage to U. S.; $5.00 Priority; $12.30 for International Mail. Texans must pay 8- % sales tax. Thanks,
Tom
