SANTA FE RAILROAD
SCOTTY’S HOT-SHOT

I want to see the big buck in charge. Tell him Death Valley Scotty is here and ain’t got time to wait.”

Death Valley Scott - July, Los Angeles office – Santa Fe Railway – 1905

“Going to Chicago. Want to get there quick. Some friends going with me. I want a special train.
Name your price!”

Death Valley Scott - Addressing John J. Byrne – Passenger Traffic Manager – Santa Fe RR

DEATH VALLEY MEMORABILIA
IS RAPIDLY DISAPPEARING

Folks, this is a very rare, hard to find, off-brand western magazine. I have ten thousand westerns and this is the only copy I have. I have a valued customer who has asked me to find him all the Death Valley Scotty memorabilia I can find so here it is – in good condition with no blemishes. Regardless, I probably cannot replace it at any cost.

IT IS A COLLECTOR’S ITEM IN ITSELF

All of us know of Death Valley Scotty but few have ever seen this unusual and seldom read story entitled SCOTTY’S HOT-SHOT by William Burke. Seems that old Death Valley Scotty had a special engagement in Chicago – so he did what any self-made millionaire – he peeled off 5 $1,000 bills, hired a train and a Pullman and a diner and said:

LET HER RIP!

Please read this. There were many a western story published – the common ones about Cowboys and Indians are listed on Ebay every day but the rarer ones about the true pioneer and founders like Death Valley Scottie of the old west are seldom found. This is rare and hard to find and irreplaceable. Collectors treasure its and its value in the price guide rises every day. They are hard to find. I hunt them out because really the better, untold and rarer stories were published in the rest.

Here’s one of ‘em.

Following my retirement, I have dedicated my remaining hours to indexing the Genealogy of our western pioneers. During my research, I discovered that thousands of our kinfolk lay unfound and unrecognized on some book dealer’s shelf gathering dust. Because Old Western History and Memorabilia was printed before computer indexing, I index every item I sell.

This complete index will be bound and included in this offering at no additional cost.
Humbly, I am trying to keep our history alive.
I hope you appreciate the effort.

SCOTTY’S HOT-SHOT

By William Burke

Folks, sooner or later - Genealogists are going to realize that their family kinfolks are laying on some dealer's dusty shelves. If I can contribute to finding one little name or photo of that long lost ancestor you have been waiting to find,- its worth all the time I spend.

SCOTTY’S HOT-SHOT

By William Burke

DEATH VALLEY MEMORABILIA
IS RAPIDLY DISAPPEARING

While others clip ads from magazines, I save history. It’s a shame that our past is being lost. It’s as simple as that.

My wife kids me that after I find a piece I like, buy it, read it, research it, take a picture, scan it, write the blurb, pay the Ebay entry fee and commission, that I end up making about 50 cents an hour. But, OH HOW I LOVE THIS OLD WESTERN HISTORY. What a story, Rare Story!!! Great Pictures. You will love it as it was published in this old complete and very rare western magazine of many years ago. This is a collector’s treasure. The issue is in excellent condition, the cover is pristine and in vibrant color.
As clearly stated in my description, this is featured story in a rarely found and seldom read unusual and complete western magazine. I don't give out name of publication or date because I have caught competitors copying my index and work and trying to sell it as theirs. I hope you understand.
Buyer pays postage of $3.50 First Class Postage to U. S., $4.50 to Canada. Due to outrageous increase in postage, we do not ship Priority Mail. $10.00 Par Avion (Air Mail) for International Mail. Texans must pay 8- % sales tax. Thanks,
Tom
