RAWHIDE, NEVADA
RING-TAILED ROARER

OLD GHOST TOWN MEMORABILIA
IS RAPIDLY DISAPPEARING

Perhaps the end is where I should begin cause Rawhide, Nevada melted into a heat-twisted relic in the Big Fire in 1908. Of course long before that it was know as ring-tailed roaring town but on this date for all practical purposes it ceased to exist.

But folks, along the way, for a few brief, lurid months, Rawhide, Nevada flared up as the riches and gaudiest of all Nevada’s boom gold camps – full of 10,000 boomers, foot packers, pack mule trains, freight wagons and horsebackers. Big names (Tex Rickard, Nathaniel “Nat C. Goodwin, Riley Grannan), little names “Rattlesnake Jack”, “Gold-Tooth Bess” and “The Gum Shoe Kid” and some honest founders like C. C. Dunning, Eugene Grutt, Charley McLeod. All of these rolled together made up the saloon brawls, street fights, flying steel, popping pistols and clobbered corpses. Yep, it was a real boom town and this marvelous author has recorded the events that led up to the rise and fall of

RAWHIDE, NEVADA

Please read this. There were many a western story published – the common ones about Cowboys and Indians are listed on Ebay every day but the rarer ones about the old boom towns of the west now turned into Ghost towns are seldom found. Collectors treasure them and their price guide value rises every day. They are hard to find. I hunt them out because really the better, untold and rarer stories were published in the rest.

Here’s one of ‘em.

Following my retirement, I have dedicated my remaining hours to indexing the Genealogy of our western heroes. During my research, I discovered that thousands of our kinfolk lay unfound and unrecognized on some book dealer’s shelf gathering dust. Because Old Western History and Memorabilia was printed before computer indexing, I index every item I sell.

This complete index will be bound and included in this offering at no additional cost.
Humbly, I am trying to keep our history alive.
I hope you appreciate the effort.

RING-TAILED ROARER

OLD GHOST TOWN MEMORABILIA
IS RAPIDLY DISAPPEARING

While others clip ads from magazines, I save history. It’s a shame that our past is being lost. It’s as simple as that.

My wife kids me that after I find a piece I like, buy it, read it, research it, take a picture, scan it, write the blurb, pay the Ebay entry fee and commission, that I end up making about 50 cents an hour. But, OH HOW I LOVE THIS OLD WESTERN HISTORY. What a story, Rare Story!!! Great Pictures. You will love it as it was published in this old complete and seldom found western magazine of many years ago. The issue is in excellent condition, the cover is pristine and in vibrant color.
As clearly stated in my description, this is featured story in a rarely found and seldom read unusual and complete western magazine. I don't give out name of publication or date because I have caught competitors copying my index and work and trying to sell it as theirs. I hope you understand.
Buyer pays postage of $3.50 First Class Postage to U. S.; $4.75 Priority; $4.50 to Canada; $11.00 via USPS First Class Mail International for International Mail. (We have been very disappointed in the time frame for our international mailing. It seems our post office is now mailing surface mailing and it sometimes take over 30 days to get to destination. If you care for faster delivery, just tell me and I will figure faster delivery.) Texans must pay 8- % sales tax. Thanks,
Tom
