HISTORY OF MORMONS

29 YEARS OLD AND BRAND NEW!!!!

A MORMON TREASURE.

PLEASE. NO BOOK DEALERS

THIS IS OUT OF PRINT. THESE WERE LAYING ON THE SHELVES OF AMON CARTER MUSEUM AND UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA.

PRINTED 1979 IN BRAND NEW CONDITION WITH DUST JACKET.

This is an amazing look at forty years of Mormon Photographer George Edward Anderson's extraordinary record of Brigham Young's Mormon stronghold. As you know, I search for old Mormon items by looking in attics and cellars, sitting on floors in old book stores and antique dealers.

In the past, I found a story named “Mirror of Zion” which was a summary of Anderson's lifelong photographic tribute to Mormon civilization. The item solicited so much interest that I retraced my steps, researched the story and found, lo and behold, that the actual book was published 30 years ago by the combined efforts of the Amon Carter Museum in Ft. Worth, Texas and the University of Nebraska Press as written by Rell G. Francis and to make a long short and because I am like I am and was so impressed with the qualities of the author and Anderson's work, I called both institutions just in the chance that any of these books were up on some dusty shelf in a warehouse. Can you believe it, that was just the case. The librarian filled me in completely. There were 2,975 printed and she thought there might be some left somewhere. Three days later, she had

Following my retirement, I have dedicated my remaining hours to indexing the Genealogy of our western pioneers. During my research, I discovered that thousands of our kinfolk lay unfound and unrecognized on some book dealer’s shelf gathering dust. Because Old Mormon History and Memorabilia was printed before computer indexing, I index every item I sell.

This complete index will be bound and included in this offering at no additional cost.

Humbly, I am trying to keep our history alive.

I hope you appreciate the effort.

All in excellent and pristine condition with dust jacket, published in 1979 at a price of $23.50. This was the only printing. Hard cover, 9 by 10 inches, containing 155 pages, 116 photos. Here are just a few: </Font> </Center>

THE MORMON PHOTOGRAPHS

OF GEORGE ANDERSON

Folks, sooner or later - Genealogists are going to realize that their family kinfolks are laying on some dealer's dusty shelves. If I can contribute to finding one little name or photo of that long lost ancestor you have been waiting to find, it’s worth all the time I spend.

OLD MORMON MEMORABILIA

IS RAPIDLY DISAPPEARING

</Font>

While others clip ads from magazines, I save history. It’s a shame that our past is being lost. It’s as simple as that.

My wife kids me that after I find a piece I like, buy it, read it, research it, take a picture, scan it, write the blurb, pay the entry fee and commission, that I end up making about 50 cents an hour. But, OH HOW I LOVE THIS OLD MORMON HISTORY. What a story, Rare Story!!! Great Pictures. You will love it as it was published in this old complete hard bound book of many years ago. The issue is in excellent condition, the cover is pristine and in vibrant color.

Buyer pays postage of $3.50 Media Mail Postage to U. S., $5.00 Priority Mail, $12.30 Par Avion (Air Mail) for International Mail. Texans must pay 8-OE % sales tax. Thanks,

Tom
