Brazil, Africa, Ethiopia - all produce high quality specimens of fire opal. This gorgeous gemstone was mined in Brazil, and has been fashioned into an 11 mm Trillion cut stone that weighs 2.60 cts. It presents as a rich and fiery orange, with lots of yellow flash. Since Fire Opal can be used for October (as it is an Opal, though not a "precious" opal), this stone would make a fantastic ring or pendant, to be given as a birthday present - in just a few weeks!
