I am selling my S/S 2005 MARC JACOBS Scarlet Washed Leather Hobo in Red. These bags were made popular when Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan were photographed with Electric Blue ones. They immediately sold out and became extremely hard to find!!

This bag is made from an extremely soft washed calf leather, which gives the bag a faded look -- kind of like your favorite pair of blue jeans!! Although the bag is not new and does show some signs of wear, it’s still in pretty excellent shape and looks great – any imperfections are minor (IMO) and barely noticeable to the untrained eye, especially due to the washed leather effect.

The inside is lined with hot pink/fuschia suede and is very clean – no holes, rips, stains, ink markings, makeup residue or any obvious sign of heavy wear. Even the inner pocket is even lined with suede!! There is a brass MJ nameplate with Made in Italy engraved underneath his name. A deatchable set of leather "pom-poms" hang from one end of the bag. These can easily be removed if you don't wish to carry them on the bag. The bag opens with a 2-way/double zipper. The shoulder strap is very comfortable, made of rolled leather with extra padding where it hangs on the shoulder.

The flaws that I'd like to mention: The leather has darkened around the handle and in some places long the edges of the bag. You may be able to clean this with leather care product, but I'd rather leave that up to the new owner to try for themselves. There are no corner or edge rubs, but there are a few places along the edges of the leather where there is some "spotting" to the leather. There is fuscia colored trim around the edges of the woven leather and in places, it looks like this paint splattered onto the leather. This is how the bag originally came and perhaps MJ meant for it to give the bag it's own unique look -- it's not bad and/or obvious, but there are a few places where you can see little pink "spes" on the edges. The bigges "flaw" is what I believe is a water mark (that is how it was described to me by the previous owner, who I bought this bag from) on one side of the bag. You can see this in the pics where a flash was used, but it's not that obvious and because of the nature of this type of soft washed leather, it blends onto the bags natural creases and folds and is not easy to see in natural or regular lighting (as evidenced in pics taken in natural light). Overall I think this bag looks pretty fantastic -- it's a very relaxed style and fits on the shoulder very easily. The inside is roomy and can hold a lot -- if you carry less inside, you'll have a much slouchier look.

This bag is not new and not perfect. Please do not purchase if that is what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a perfectly broken in, gently used HTF MARC JACOBS bag with “normal” wear and tear, then this is the bag for you!! The actual color of the bag is demonstrated in the pics taken in natural light -- it's not a bright red, but rather more of a coral-like color (it's definitely NOT pink).
