A late nineteenth century (1890s) cabinet card photograph of two men wearing fez type of hats. The man on the left has a pencil sticking out from the edge of his hat. A bottle is on the table. An empty glass sits on the table in front of the man who has the pencil in his hat. The other man holds a partially filled glass. On the floor next to his feet is a nineteenth century printed cloth stuffed toy cat of the type that was made by the Arnold Print Works in North Adams, Massachusettts.
The card measures 6 1/2" by 4 1/4". The back is blank. Printed below the image is: "Rosebrook, Lancaster, N.H."
The condition of the photo can be seen in the accompanying image. There is some wear to the central part of the image and a little to the left of the center over the hands of the man with the pencil in his hat. These show up as white scuffs in that area. Otherwise the image is in very nice condition and has excellent contrast.
