This imperial or boudoir cabinet photo shows numerous soldiers milling around tents. There are hundreds of white tents set up in a field. The photo is not identified as to location or photographer. But, we think that the photo was, most likely, taken in California as this turned up in a small group of imperial cabinets that were all either unidentified or identified with California photographers.
This cabinet photo is circa 1880's-1890's. The back of the mount has a scuff at the top left corner. The precise condition of the photo is clearly shown in the pics. The size is 8 7/16" long by 5 3/16" wide.
