A charming late nineteenth century (1880s to '90s) cabinet photograph of a boy with his new bow, arrows, and target. His hair is in ringlets. He stands on the velvet covered seat of a Victorian chair.
The cabinet photo is an unusual size in that it is taller and narrower than the standard size cabinet photograph of the period. It measures 8 1/4" by 3 5/16". (The standard size is 6 1/2" by 4 1/4".) Its fine condition can be seen in the accompanying photo. Printed on the cabinet below the image is: "Vandyke, 62 Bold Street, Liverpool." This image has excellent contrast and beautiful rich tones and detail. The back is blank.
