Original old & very unusual cdv photo of a Liverpool, or Prattware, or Leeds type china jug taken by A. H Wildman of Monticello, Illinois. I am not sure of the exact correct name of this particular type of jug. But, it is apparently one of the three types mentioned. This photo w/mount measures 4 1/4" long by 2 7/16" wide".
We are wondering if the man on the jug might possibly represent Admiral Nelson with a fleet of ships ? It is very unusual to find a cdv photo of a piece of English china. It is additionally even far more unusual to find a cdv photo of a piece of English china taken by an American photographer.
The photo is in fairly pleasing condition with slight soiling & a tiny circular dark spot near the top. Please use your own judgement as to the precise condition & bid accordingly.
