This is a gouache and watercolor painting on artist board depicting a 1930's Silver Streak Pontiac automobile. The words, "Silver Streak" are painted in silver and the words "The" and "Pontiac" are painted in white. A small number of these white paint dots have lost a tiny speck of paint. In the accompanying image the many white dots that show up in the scan are more subtle in person. The white dots are mostly small dots of paint that the artist has painted deliberately to give the impression of a sparkly night. The painting measures 10 7/8" wide by 14" tall. There is a scuff at the bottom left corner off of the paint. There is a thin line of wear stretching up from the bottom border to the bumper of the car. The painting is numbered in pencil at the top right corner: "38." It is signed at the bottom right corner: "D. C. Snoops." The back has a vertical surface wrinkle.

Snoops listed in the 1930 census who was born in Baltimore about 1920. All of the items shown in the paintings by D. C. Snoops appear to be consistent with the styles and fashions of the late thirties. The paintings appear to be for the purpose of illustration.
