A stereoview that shows a city street and buildings. The title is printed in the image, "Chicago Club House, Chicago." In the foreground is a tall building with a banner across it that reads, "Democratic Headquarters." The last two letters of the word, headquarters, are not seen in the view. A jugate banner of two candidates running for office is shown attached to the second floor front of the building. The view measures 7" long by 4" tall. The back is blank. The words, "Artistic Stereoscopic Views" are printed in the left and right margins. We estimate this stereoview to have been made between 1872 and 1888.
The precise condition of the stereoview should be easy to figure out from the pics. If you have any questions please write.
