RARE EAMES ERA MINT PYREX 3 QT CASSEROLE W/GOLD LEAF!

This is an absolutely stunning, R-A-R-E example of high end, 1950-60's Pyrex. This flawless Eames Era Kitchenware has to be seen to be believed! It looks like it was never or very rarely used. The Gold Leaf is extremely thick and high quality with no ware, scratching or scuffing to the pattern. It has a very rich, lavish feeling. Very George Jetson-esque,  retro-modern piece that would be FABULOUS in your bachelor / bachelorette pad.

The glass is also mint, very clear with no clouding, chips, scratches, cracks or flea bites. There is some minor scuffing to the bottom of the piece, probably from taking it on and off a shelf that is somewhat exaggerated by the glare from my lighting. It actually is not really noticeable live. Otherwise it really looks like it was never or rarely used. The pattern on the top is very geometric; the thick, gold band featuring abstracted flowers, fruit bowls, suns, a torch, birds and squiggly lines and the body and lid are speckled with gold leaf in such a way that it gives the piece and opalescent glow.
I'd date it circa 1960's but this is not my field of expertise so it could be as early as the 1950's and as late as the early 70's. I looked high and low for something similar when trying to price it and couldn't find anything else like it. Especially in this kind of condition of such high quality. It came from the same Hollywood estate as some of my other pieces, so if you like this, definitely check out the other items in my store. They are all of the same quality and all look unused. This is a rare find! You will not find a piece like this again!

on the bottom

and the lid is marked:

"Pyrex 626-C-A-G

discreetly on the rim and is in mint condition! I couldn't find any other makers marks but am quite curious about this piece as I wasn't able to find anything else remotely like this. It's dimensions are approximately:

6'5" high to the knob and 11 3/4" wide from handle to handle

and it is quite heavy and substantial. Any whiteness in the glass is a reflection. The glass is clear, clean and flawless. I'd describe this piece as being in excellent estate condition.
