Antique 2 piece Art Nouveau repousse white metal filigreed buckle

No visible marks, on the hook part there are a couple of things that may have been marks at one time, but are completely illegible.

When clasped together, the buckle is about 2 3/4 inches at the widest part and 2 inches high.

This is NOT a reproduction! A family piece that has been in my family since Victorian time, we are the original owners.

It is in very good condition

A lovely piece for a collection or to wear, true to the period of which it was made.

The high point of Art Nouveau coincided with a vogue for belts and belt buckles in feminine fashion throughout Europe and America because of the introduction of the wasp waist in fashion.
