Pair of Taxco mixed metal sterling and brass concho clip earrings. A large silver dome is surrounded by a brass rope on a decorated silver circle. The mark is TM-142 over Mexico over 925. The T represents Taxco, the M-142 represetns the artist Javier Molina Torrescano. The earings are about 1 inch in diameter and weigh 13.61 grams. These lovely earrings are reminiscent of Southwestern conchos. Concho comes from the Spanish word for shell and are round, domed decorations that are used to decorate leather and saddles.
