Rare signed HAR jewelry, Hargo Creations turbaned Sultan pin.

Measures 2 inches high and 1 1/2 inches wide at the widest point.

This pin is in excellent condition.

The sultan's turban has stripes of textured gold-tone, green enamel and brilliant golden rhinestones with a circle of faux pearls surounding a dark green cabachon in the center. He has a faux pearl collar and more golden rhinestones and green enamel on his gown.

The detail and craftmanship is amazing. This is a fairly heavy piece. Signed on the back with a copyright symbol & HAR.

HAR is short for Hargo Creations of New York. Their jewelry thought to date in the late 50's and into the 60's, but it is otherwise something of a mystery. Some of their best pieces are the wildly creative figurals.

This lovely brooch is very collectable and hard to find.
