This vintage glass micro mosaic or micromosaic pin displays a wealth of colorful tiles arranged in intricate patterns and centered with a rose. The tiny tesserae, or tiles were cut from rectangular rods of red, pink, orange white and green glass as well as curled and triangular black/white rods. The pin has twist of brass separating parts of the pattern as well as along the edge.

Stamped Italy, has an older C type clasp.

The brass pin is 1 1/8 inches wide and 7/8" high.

The patterns certainly invite up-close appreciation. The tiles are tightly packed, a true indication of a high quality mosaic.

The tile work is lovely and in superb, undamaged condition. There are no missing pieces in the design and the colors are nice and bright.
