This very beautiful Vintage Evening bag, belonged to my mother. I believe she bought it in 1964 to attend a very fancy wedding. My mom always had great taste and style. She was voted best dressed in her roxborough high school graduating class! She only used it a couple of times, and kept it tucked away in her drawer for special occasions.

The bag is 9" wide at the bottom and 7" wide at the top. It is bell shaped. It stands 5 3/4" high and is about 2" deep.

The handle is 13" and spiral beaded. The handle is about 5" from the top of the bag, which has a spring hinged open for easy access to the interior of the bag. The handle is flexible and rotates on the end bars, which makes it very comfortable to keep on your wrist.

The beading on this bag is in perfect condition, with white pearlized seed beeds, and champagne bugle beads as accents. The bag has goldtone accents and under the lid, with NO scratches evidenced by me and no wear spots, this is in near perfect condition. This would make a beautiful gift for a bride to be...to be used on her wedding day,as "something old".

The interior label states "Hand beaded, made in Hong Kong, when it was still ruled by the British Government. The lining is still pristine, no tears, just light yellowing at the edges due to age.
