You will receive 100 white organza bags filled with birdseed. Each organza bag measures approximately 3"x4" and has a white draw-string ribbon for closure. There is approximately enough birdseed in each bag for two handfuls or one generous handful.

They can be used as throws after the bride and groom exit the church or used wedding reception favors for guests. Birdseed is typically thrown instead of rice because it's believed to be eco-friendly. The tossed birdseed will be eaten by birds and will not need to be cleaned up the wedding party or church staff.

Why throw birdseed? Traditionally, birdseed is thrown at the newlywed couple to bring good luck and to symbolize fertility and abundance in the years to come.

NOTE: The birdseed is intended to be removed from the bag and then tossed in the direction of the newlywed couple.
