A little general info about my tomato seeds.

I GROW most of my seed rather than order it from the big wholesalers like most people selling pre-packaged seeds. That means I have a whole lot of work to do long before I ever see any seeds.

Most years the tomatoes need little if any pesticides. We are not technically "organic" tho as not all of our fertilizer is considered organic and we will use insecticides if necessary to save a crop.

We haven't used herbicides for years and we haven't used fungicides lately tho occasionally we will if we think something will help. I think a small area of our tomatoes did get 1 spray of insecticide last year because they were right next to the eggplants that were covered with aphids. But that was less than 1/10 of our planting of tomatoes.

Generally my hubby takes care of the fertilizer and chemical end of our farm. I do the variety picking and seeding and greenhouse stuff. Until last year Hubby had a full time off farm job too, so I pretty much ran the day to day vegie operations and he took care of the corn and soybeans stuff. He is retired so is home to help with everything now. We sell all summer at 3 farmers markets and a bit here at the farm at a self-serve stand set up in the driveway.

All my tomato seeds I'm offering here are my own collected seed and I bleach rinse them to kill any seed borne disease. The seed is dried for at least 2 weeks and then germination tested. I only sell seed that is about 85% or better germination. Most of this years seed has been very high rate, nearly 100%. This is the same seed that I use for my market garden business. In spring we sell plants. Then we plant them for the produce. Selling the seeds helps me pay the bills thru the winter when we don't have anything else to sell.

I try to get all orders out in less than a week after paid for. Most weeks I go to the post office Monday, Wednesday and Friday. During the summer and fall tho sometimes I will be busy with farm work and orders get a bit delayed. Email if you need something in a hurry.

All orders get at least an extra packet or more as a thank you because I have a whole lot of some varieties.

If you have some problem with your order PLEASE let me know and we will work out a solution. On a few rare occasions the post office has radiation killed the seeds. Usually I have more for a replacement order.
