Vintage hard plastic and metal brooch with rhinestones. A thin green hard plastic slab base with an attached cast metal rose buds. The flowers are attached in two places by wound wire and fastened to the back of the plastic base. The flowers have small rhinestones, 4 of which are missing.
The base, which is for the most part green, has a yellow/tannish area near the top. I speculate the glue holding the plastic pin closure has discolored the area over time.
The roses are very dark and the edges have a green patina. Brass or possibly bronze? Age, origin and exact composition is unknown. This could be a handmade brooch. The holes which were used to wire the flowers in place seem to be very cleanly made, no puckering or stressing of the plastic in those areas.
Any information would be very much appreciated!
Measures 2 3/8" by 2" and is nearly 1/2" tall from the base.
