(D162) Charm Design: Simply Stunning!! In the shape of a scalloped edge Purse, this late 1800's / early 1900's Charm or Pendant has marvelous detail work on both sides! One side of this opening charm has the letters "ND" with a crown above and gorgeous flowers and fleur de lis. The other side has even more amazing detail work - unbelievably beautiful - and across the bottom it reads " NOTRE DAME DE LOURDES". This little purse-shaped antique charm has a fold-over clasp, and when opened, you'll find a fold-out strip of Paris landmarks (I believe) sepia photos. There are 8 photos total and as you can see, the strip has come unglued from the charm itself - an incredibly easy fix! There is not a loop for hanging attached to this little book - you would have to use a jumpring through the latch. Material: unknown, somewhat silver in color but I did not test it for metal content (with beauty like this, who cares what it's made of?) Marked: no markings Measurements: 15/16" x 1 1/8" All charms will come with their original jumpring (if present) and a new Sterling Silver jumpring as a gift! The pictures are enlarged/magnified for ease in viewing details/condition of the item and to point out any flaws/imperfections. Please note that magnified photos may show flaws/imperfections that are not visible to the naked eye. If there is a coin in the pictures, it is a US penny placed there for size reference only. Measurements are approximate. Please note that the majority of my items are vintage and have been purchased at antique markets, estate sales, etc. I do not know the history behind most of my pieces and conditions will vary. I do not clean jewelry items as some people (me included) prefer the natural patina, which can be quite lovely on Vintage Jewelry. Please look at the pictures closely - and supersize them - they are magnified for your benefit! If you have additional questions concerning the condition of an item, please do not hesitate to contact me. I want you to be happy with your purchase! :) Thanks for stopping by! |
