Beautiful evening purse and quite unusual as this has a carry handle long enough that it can be worn as a shoulder bag. Hand made in Hong Kong by Duval, a well known designer of very beautiful evening purses. The front and back have the same design, a centre piece of floral tapestry surrounded by a multitude of little black glass seed beads. The colours in the tapestry are mostly pinks and rose colours with leaves and vines in sage green, forest green, autumn harvest and gold. No missing or loose bead work. The fittings are gold tone and there are a couple of small areas along the top of the frame showing a little wear consistent with age. A small mark on one side of the tapestry looks like it could be a lipstick mark and would probably clean out. On the other side there has been a small amount of colour bleed at the bottom of the tapestry but is only really noticeable if looking for it. The frame is brushed gold tone and the lining is black satin with one interior slip pocket. The interior is perfectly clean and no damage. The measurements are 6-1/4" inches wide by 7" inches in height and the shoulder chain strap handle has a height or drop of 14-1/4" inches from the top of the frame.
