Very interesting Lidded Stein Souvenir ~ It is marked in several places

This is a heavy piece weighing over 1 1/2 pounds ~ it is made of an earthenware pottery type material and has a silver metal/pewter lid

To the top of the dome on lid it is approximately 6" and to the top of hinge lever it is about 6 1/2" ~ the bottom diameter is 3 7/8"

On the front in blue ink is an anchor/key logo and it reads North German Lloyd ~ Caribbean Cruise ~ M.S. "Europa" ~ there is also a blue band around base of stein

It is marked in several places ~ on the bottom in ink it is stamped Made in Germany OCC ~ then it is blind stamped with the numer "7" and a symbol bearing a M over an R ~ on the side of the stein it is blind embossed stamped with a 0.5 l with a line underneath it ~ on the inside of the lid it has these markings a number "85" and the letters DGBM with a symbol underneath it..a diamond with URM inside it

There are NO cracks or chips ~ The hinge mechanism is very tight and works great and appears to be pewter ~ the rest of the lid is a silver metal ` the lid could use a good cleaning, but I'm not sure what to use to clean it so I am leaving it to the buyer

Good condition and very interesting & heavy piece
