Elegant Vintage Hilo Steiner String Shaded Table Lamp

Description: This is lamp is in mint condition. The label in the shade indicates it was made by Hilo Steiner, a top-notch lighting resource that closed its doors in 1996 after 50 years in business. The floral decorated urn shaped column sits on an antiqued brass base. The painting is superb and beautifully shaded. The flowers are highlighted with slightly raised white accents that catch the light from above and give added dimension to the design. It has a 3-way switch.

The shade is overlaid with a wool string or yarn that has been painstakingly and with extreme precision wrapped around it and the top and bottom of the shade have been handsewn. The color is a rich deep green that changes with the light and shadows.

Highly collectible and increasing in value, the shades alone currently fetch from $200 to $600 at auction. They are becoming rarer and more difficult to find, so do not miss out on this one. The lamp measures approximately 25" high and 5.75" at the widest part of the base. The shade is 10.75" high and 14.25" wide across the bottom.
