This photo was taken on the same walk at the refuge as photo #142. We stopped to take a little break and eat a few of our homemade cookies we brought along for a snack. The area we were in is pretty close to the river, so as I got to looking around a bit I discovered this beaver tree. Some little creature with a paddle for a tail sure has been busy… not too much more and it will be time to holler “TIMMMBERRR!!”
