Heading back out through the garden and pasture to take photos of my husband and neighbor cutting down trees in the burrow for firewood for this winter’s heat, a daddy longlegs on one of my wildflowers caught my attention. I had the camera in hand, but had already passed by him. I stopped and hesitated as I debated whether to take that extra moment (usually turns into quite a few moments as I work on getting just the right angle with the sun, etc.), and decided to go back and get him on candid camera. I finally got back out to where I was originally headed, and my husband asked what took so long. I started to say, “Well, on the way…”, and then he saw the camera around my neck and smiled with that “Oh yeah… I should’ve guessed” look. He knows me too well. =)
