Belgian race driver Olivier Gendebien in a thoughtful moment in the paddock at Watkins Glen in 1960. Gendebien was one of the most successful endurance drivers in racing history, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times (1958,60, 61, and 62), the 12 Hours of Sebring three times (1959, 60, 61), and the Targa Florio three times (1958, 61, 62). The event is the 1960 Watkins Glen International Formula Libre Grand Prix on October 9, 1960, won by Stirling Moss in the Rob Walker Lotus 18 Formula 1 car. Gendebien's Yeoman Credit entered Formula 1 Cooper-Climax failed to finish the race. This is an 8 x 10 print from the original negative and signed by the photographer - Ron Nelson.
