DESCRIPTIONS:
 
This vintage brown knit shirt-cardigan is lightweight, great for summer! It has long sleeves with a ribbed cuff and is ribbed at the hemline. Both the collar and the button front have double contrast banding accented with a tasteful self-color braid. Eight flat Lucite 4 hole matching buttons decorate the front lapels making a tasteful subtle decoration. Very soft and comfortable, stretchy as well as easy care, it is lightweight nylon and is a machine wash item. Banlon is a very soft knit, easy care but it does snag. Smooth to the touch this knit is one of the first synthetic knits very popular in the 1960s for both men and women, valued for its easy care option, a knit for the future.
 
Need a bit of history in cool, soft, stretchy Ban Lon? This vintage shirt is made of nylon Ban-Lon in a great knit that is soft and clingy. Great for showing off what you have as you think about Buddy Holly and the Rat Pack fashions of Frank!  It has the look of the classic 1950’s with more than just a touch of the dangerous 60s with it classic attitude.
 
 There is a ribbed waist and the tight flat ribbed collar is 3 inches.  It is fully fashioned by Sonata and has an early Ban Lon shield without the cat. .   .
 
 
 
 
 
This item has been machine washed in the gentle cycle It is second hand and has been previously owned. I do not know the prior history.  No dryer sheets are used in the drying or packaging.

The male mannequin is a 38” chest with a 16” neck.

This garment is an older fabric and it does moderately stretch so check your measurements and give yourself room to move or measure against a garment whose fit you like of a similar style. The measurements are of the item only. This garment has been previously owned but it is in  good to very good  condition. There are no stains, no holes and no rips or tears. It is not torn nor is the collar worn ringed or pilled. There are no obvious pulls or runs. The top buttonhole has broken threads and looks rough. This shirt was  worn and was used. It has been freshly laundered. It is a great design distinctive and attractive. Although it has been previously owned, it has been gently treated and other than the top buttonhole is in good to excellent condition. The garment has been dry- cleaned or gently machine-washed or is new old stock and is ready to go!

This garment is VINTAGE and although in good condition, it may have unnoticed faults such as weak threads, due to age. Thread ages at a different rate than fabric. I see no damage other than what has been mentioned and I try to be aware if a garment has been altered or hemmed. If found to be so, I will mention it, but small details may have been unintentionally missed. This item is not retro. If true vintage, it is a potential unique item that may be one of a kind. It is real and it can be worn.

Vintage lingerie cannot be returned, due to its intimate nature. In some states, it is the law. If the garment is new, the tags have to be in place to be returned and in the same condition. Due to several buyers who have damaged expensive items, if an item is returned with damage, the professional repair will be subtracted from the return amount.
 
I make very careful measurements. Please remember that the measurements are of the garment and give yourself room to move. A skilled seamstress can always take in an item, but letting out is another story, especially on a vintage garment. It can be difficult if not impossible.
 
I am willing to combine. If you wish this, please notify me and I will give you a discounted invoice for shipping both items together if possible. This has to be done before any payments are made.
 
 
Delivery confirmation is included and I will notify you what it is so you can track. If you are International you will be provided with the customs number. You are responsible for customs charges.

Payments have changed and increased at the post office and are closely watched in terms of size, weight and type. I ship Priority, Priority flat rate and First class (international and US) with Delivery Confirmation if possible. Insurance is optional for under 50.00 but required for over.  I will try to offer a choice.  If you choose alternative shipping to priority it will take much longer to arrive. I have no control over the postal system but I will notify you with an estimated time of delivery and give you the delivery confirmation number or the customs number.

My home is smoke-free but not pet-free. I own a cat and if you are allergic please be aware. Most of my items will be dry cleaned to be rid of smells and odor or will be laundered and pressed but they are second hand. No scented sheets are used.
 
 
 

 

 
I will mail my items using USPS priority Tyvek envelopes. Your garment will be well protected in these almost indestructible envelopes, but boxing is available. It will cost more and will need a new quote. Unless it is stated, I do dry clean items. Many are new with tags and as such will not be cleaned or they are gently used. These are VINTAGE and in some cases may suffer from minor damage or weak seam threads. Seam threads age at a different rate from fabric. Please note: Vintage sizing is not like modern sizing. Please double check your measurements and give yourself room to breathe. I try to note all damage. In most cases, they are older than I am.
