This is a very nice creamer and covered sugar set by Kokura. The pattern features cameos of pink roses on cream bands with gold beading, filligree and accents. The sugar bowl measures 3.5" tall with lid, 4.5" diameter body and 6.5" across handles. The lid measures 3.5" diameter. The creamer measures 2" tall, 3.5" diameter and 5" from tip to handle. The bottoms of both pieces are marked in blue under glaze: KOKURA / K inside 'Cherry Blossom' mark / MADE IN JAPAN. Both creamer and sugar are in very good to excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs; there is some wear to the gold on sugar handles. |
