This is a really cute, large, face mug. The stoneware or pottery mug has an all over dark brown colored glaze. The eyes have paint loss, only enough remains to see they were painted. It has an adorable chin! I recently sold a similar mug in gray-blue that was marked Western Stoneware Monmouth Ill. The oversize mug measures 5.875" across, 4.5" diameter and 3.5" tall. The mug bottom is mold marked USA. See last photo. The mug is in very good condition. There is no damage aside from the paint loss on eyes; no chips, flea-bites, cracks or repairs. |
