This is an excellent commemorative, collector Abingdon Pottery mug. It was made by Western Stoneware of Monmouth Illinois. The design is stamped in blue underglaze; ABINGDON and several well-known Abingdon pottery shapes are shown with the outline of the state of Illinois.

The mug measures 3.75" tall, 3.75 outside diameter and 5.25" wide.

The mug bottom is mold marked C3015. It is also under glaze marked in blue: maple leaf logo, WESTERN / STONEWARE / MONMOUTH ILL / U.S.A.

The mug is in excellent condition. I found some crazing marks on the bottom of the mug, mostly inside the foot rim where the glaze appears thicker. There is no damage; no chips, flea-bites, cracks or repairs.
