<body bgcolor="806752"> Vintage Original 1920's sepia-tone photo-print sheet of:
MULTIPLE IMAGES OF THE WORLD'S GREATEST FEMALE TENNIS PLAYERS OF THE ERA, SUCH AS; LENGLEN & MALLORY and HELLEN WILLS, FROM CALIFORNIA, (With Text identifiers and descriptives for each photo-image).
It measures approx., 9.5 x 14.5", in Inches (edge-to-edge, and is slightly larger than the scan shows, due to the scanner-window size, it is complete and Not cut-off at edges), and has it's own lined-border - It is a published print on paper from 1922 (Not a recent reprint or Reproduction), with a soft-flat non-glare surface finish, (but Not a 'real-photo', just to be clear), taken directly from a scarce New York Times Bound Volume Pictorial of views and world events during the early 1920's or prior, printed in 1922, therefore, this actual print the buyer will receive is about 87-years-old.
It was printed with a process then called Rotogravure Printing (similar to Photogravure, there are no dots, it has a grainy finish, when looked at it under a magnifying glass), which produced nice picture prints on paper with good depth-of-field and clarity, and gave the image some of the qualities and characteristics of a 'real-photo' without actually being one.
It has been permanently mounted on sepia-tone light-weight [ACID-FREE, ARCHIVAL] backing board, and partial sample is shown in lower image, (to protect it from bending and/or creasing, and preserve it for many years). Also publishing/printing documentation will be sent with the print to the winning bidder, for proof of age verification and authentication.
It is in overall Very-Good Condition, (no significant flaws found).
It is suitable for matting and/or framing, for a themed decorative hanging, or placed in a collector scrapbook or folder, or even displayed as-is, being sturdy.
Let the buyer be assured that it will be shipped safely and securely backed by thick cardboard to protect it from bending or any other Postal damage, and will have a "Do Not Bend - PHOTO" Stamped or Written on both sides of the envelope.
