Al Jolson-introduced tune from the Winter Garden Production, The Honeymoon Express... pre WWI, only just...
  • Think this might have been in anticipation of WWI due to comparisons of "boy" going off to war and "girl" going to get married in lyrics.
  • 10-5/8" wide by 13-5/8" tall, 6 pages. 4 page score, for voice and piano.
  • Condition: Paper is not fragile but is a little yellowed. (photo is NOT accurate, there is not as much fading of the orange background as the photo indicated. (sorry, if you need a better pic let me know)). A few creases, one at bottom spine...1/2" tall, with tear at spine. A few other small defects but the yellowing of the paper is the "worst"... This description is pretty extensive, no other major flaws exist. I would give this a VG-Fine condition.
  • Uses Jolson whiteface image on front, cover art credited to Gene Buck.
  • Pretty 'teens era art and ad on back for other von Tilzner sheet music, Arts and Crafts motif tree, girl with garland in hair, neat type... Back and front cover paper is whiter than interior.
A BEAUTIFUL piece of sheet music in nice shape for the collector.
