HELLO! Hello and Welcome to Seaside Designs!

My name is Renee and I currently reside beachside on the NJ coast. Beautiful and inspiring! My mother is quite a gifted painter who specializes in oils. She is an Interior Desiner now and very talented. I believe I learned an appreciation for beautiful and unique things from Mom. I only wish I was able to let you touch and see these items in person. Each piece is made with much love and care and I sincerely hope these items become treasured pieces in your home!

I have been designing items for many yrs. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of design and enjoyed studying it in college as well.My hope was to go into the field of Art Therapy however life changed plans. I began selling my items to small shops in our historic town as well as in my parent's small store. I began selling my designs online to help support our work in animal rescue. I needed a way to turn all of these wonderful supplies into money that could help us save lives. So a cottage industry was reborn.

How the Wreaths and Shadowboxes were born~

When we moved here to the beach 11 yrs ago, I was inspired by everything down here. Life here is simple and natural. I as working on a beautiful quilt in denim blue and white with curtains to match. I had fabric left over and wanted to do something with it. Life on the water is very humid so dried flowers and such nevr work and I already made a shell wreath. I decided to cut this fabric into hundreds of small strips and tie it on a wreath frame. Voila! I loved it and now I can't stop making them. I adore fabric but I am not a good quilter,lol! My wreaths are not what you will see out in the market. They are not pushed into styrofoam or made out of old scrap fabrics or clothes. I wanted to step up the quality a great deal from what is out there. Please read our descriptions in a wreath listing for more info.

As we remodeled this very old house I had scraps of beadboard and other wood. I absolutely hate to waste anything so I kept staring at it knowing I coul dmake it into something. I got my saw and hammer and began the shadowbox line! Hubby is generous enough to build them for me now since I am not a great hammer user either,lol.

The most exciting thing for me is to look at something, anything ordinary and see what it can become. The play of color, texture , the lights and shadows. I love all of it. I get ideas from my seaside gardens, from the shellsand beach glass that wash up here. Everywhere I look is inspiraion and beauty!

Combned shipping is always offered!! US and Canada only, please.I accept PayPal,cashiers checks or personal checks.Payment is requested within 2 days of item's end.Item will be shipped USPS once payment is received and cleared.Check payments can take up to 10 days to ship after check has been received and deposited.. Insurance extra and recommended. I always ship with DeliveryConfirmation , Monday thru Friday,usually within 24hrs of cleared pmt.

I do take extra care in packing and shipping. If you need express shipping I am happy to help! Just email me and I will send you a price. You will need to pay for express services. No service or handling fees. I will be happy to combine shipping for you. If paying by check or MO, please email me for a final total before you write the check or MO.
