Pitman Rug Making Book

CD Republication™

Originally Published in 1937!

If you are the first to bid, using the buy-it-now option, YOU WIN! Don't wait!

Up for bid is another lovely Dakota Prairie Treasures CD Republication™, the Pitman Rug Making Book - 1937!

It includes many rug making projects which can be read about below and see the graphs and finished products in the listing collage. You can find the vintage and antique silk and wool yarns, canvas, jute and rug making tools on eBay to recreate the beautiful and unique items! You just have to hunt a little bit!!! : ) Or, you can find the contemporary materials at your nearest craft or fabric store.

Its 94 pages have been transferred to disk for your ease of usage. No crumbling old pages to get grimy, torn or lost. This item contains complete instructions for making a plethora of rugs made by the various methods identified in the book's contents below! The graphs could even be used to do beaded purses like the turn-of-the-century ones that look like tapestries and rugs! There are many lovely illustrations demonstrating the construction and embellishment techniques from the early 1900's. Scarce and intriguingly useful information jam-packed in 94 pages just waiting for your creative muse and touch! (Original is not for sale)

All Dakota Prairie Treasures CD Republications™ are viewable on Windows, Mac and Linux pc operating systems!

This item is a great resource for those who are SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) members, historical reenactment enthusiasts, students of historical clothing, fiber and textile arts, etc!

This item goes into extensive detail regarding the selection of the types of canvas and wool to use (depending largely on the methods employed) and quantity of wool needed (again, based upon the many different methods presented within!).
