The "How to Use Florence Knitting Silk" book covers the gentle home art of clothing one's family in the finest of purses, handbags, chatelaines, reticules, socks, stockings, mittens and decorative edgings!
This is a CD Republication™ of an 1886 booklet called How to Use Florence Knitting Silk Book, No. 5. You have everything you need to recreate these lovely items but the vintage/antique knitting needles (found on online!) and the vintage/antique silk or cotton thread (also found on online!) to put a pretty in every room of your home and for you and yours to wear! You just have to hunt for a little bit!!! :^)
It includesa plethora of patterns and "Rules" so you can see item will keep you busy a long time these coming cold winter months making beautiful knit items for you and yours, as gifts or to sell at autumn/winter craft fairs.
Its 100 pages contains complete instructions for making a plethora of knitting laces for clothing embellishments, curtains, linens and other items! It even has some mitten, sock and other patterns included! There are many lovely etchings demonstrating the construction, implements and embellishment techniques from the late 1880's.
