This is a wonderful vintage reverse carved lucite and wood pin of a Balalaika, a Russian musical instrument in the same family as a guitar or mandolin.
Measuring 4" long, the body is reverse carved clear lucite with a painted circular hole. The neck is black painted wood ( I first thought maybe bakelite but with close inspection I can see the grain). the strings are a gold cord.
Great vintage condition.
