Up for sale is a wonderful vintage Homer Laughlin Teapot. It is the APPLE BLOSSOM pattern on the Liberty shape. Made in 1946. The lid has one small chip and several fleabites - photos show the details. The teapot itself is in wonderful condition. No cracks, chips or crazing. On the spout there is a teeny glaze pop - see photo. There is a small area of faint discoloration on the base - suspect that it is from manufacturing process as there is no crazing seen with a magnifier. A couple of very minor marks where it looks like something rubbed against it. The gold trim on the handle and spout looks like new but there is wearing of the gold on the top. The decals are bright, shiny and intact. The teapot is about 6 1/8" in diameter, 5" in diameter at the base, and measures about 10 3/8" across handle to spout. Without the lid it is 6 1/4" tall and about 7 7/8" tall with the lid. It is about 6 7/8" tall at the spout, 6 3/8" tall at the handle and holds 32 oz. The bottom is ink stamped HLC, Homer Laughlin, Made in U.S.A., L 46 N 6. We try to be very critical of any flaw so you know exactly what you are investing in. A perfect show piece yet fully functional. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
