Charming ceramic dog in shades of brown and gray is poised over a blue shoe pincushion, complete with fabric. Measures 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" and is marked Japan. Circa 1950's. Ceramic is in very good condition, without chips or nicks, although there is a slight separation between the base of the dog and the shoe.
