Vintage Japanese Silk Kimono w Butterfly Obi Sash Asian.

 DESCRIPTION: Beautiful vintage Japanese Silk Kimono with Butterfly Obi Sash.

• The lady I purchased this from said that her mother received this as a gift in the late 1940's from a friend who was a nurse serving in Japan.
• * Vibrant design with bright colors of oranges, purples, yellows and greens outlined in silver.
• The colors indicate that this is a Spring kimono.
• * Butterfly Obi Belts The tied bow shape is called cho cho for the bow resembles the butterfly, thus giving it the name butterfly obi.
• The belt consists of two pieces; the wide belt and the bow.
• The belt is approximately 58 inches in length and 6 inches in width
• The belt is wrapped twice around the waist and tucked under.
• The bow has a wire hanger to insert into the wrapped around belt.

CONDITION: Perfect condition. Does not appear to have been worn. Needs pressed.

MEASUREMENTS: Kimono measures - 25" Shoulder to shoulder. Sleeve measures 13" Width x 19" Length. 51.5" Length from shoulder to hem. Tie [not shown] measures 50" Length. Butterfly Obi Sash measures - Butterfly 13" Length x 6" Width. Sash approximately 58" Length x 6" Width.
