Peacock stones contain all colours of the spectrum and are very highly rated, especially if the colours stand out from one another. There are many factors relating to colour intensity, does it incorporate the entire stone? Are there dead spots? Is the cut a shape pleasant to the eye? However, the most important factor of all is in the eye of the beholder, or buyer. Remember that fire agate is one of the rare stones that cannot be synthetically duplicated and each stone is different.
