Set of 2 darling antique German Valentine cards circa 1915-1920 – from Original owner. These are die cut, fold-out, stand-up, embossed cards. One has a boy in knickers carrying a wreath of roses. It measures about 2 OE by 4 oe inches and is marked ‘Printed in Germany’ on the back. The other has a little boy in a sailor suit and a girl in Victorian dress in a garden. This one has gold gilt accents and measures about 2 OE by 4 inches. It is marked ‘Germany’ on the back.
CONDITION – Excellent. No breaks, tears or bends. Good color, stand alone fine. Both have handwriting on the back.
These are just a few of the many saved by my great aunt from her childhood. She will be 101 years old next month.
