The First Family ~ Vaughn Meader ~ Cadence Records ~ CLP 3060 This a great album in addition to a piece of history. Fast selling comedy album that spoofed John F. Kennedy's family. It is good natured fun that makes fun of all things Kennedy : Boston accent, PT109, bad back, redecorating the White House, football, Caroline, John-John, and much more. Recorded on the night of the Cuban Missle Crisis; won a Grammy for Album of the Year. This album was even played in my history class - (oh my, please don't count the years). To show respect for the Kennedy's, the album was pulled from the store shelves. The album has the usual scratches that a much played party album. The album cover has the typical wear and tear -bent corners, scuffs, original owner's name in the left hand corner in ink; approx 1" seam split on the bottom left; 1.5" seam split on the top right. Funny is funny no matter what the era ~ buy now! |
