Hi~~New to Bonanzle~~My first post - Forums

Hello Everyone! My name is Lesley and I joined about a week ago. I really like it here and have become quite addicted to browsing through everyone’s booth, they are all great! Listing items is so easy I find myself being done so quuckly and thinking huh? is that really it? Everyone is so friendly here and I really like that. I have been reading alot of posts and it sounds like if you have a problem or question there is definately someone out there to help.
I have a store on eBay which I will probably keep until after Christmas but I became quite discouraged over a negative feedback that wasn’t my fault. I have been pouting about it ever since.
I have alot of stuff to fill my booth and I am looking forward to chatting with everyone. I am also up for any advice anyone may have. Thanks!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Bonanzle! You will love it here. I was going to stay through Christmas too, but realized that almost half my sales were going up in flames as fees, and that wasn’t counting paypal fees. I closed store forever. Won’t be looking back, and I am not sorry! Good luck with sales and be patient. Build your booth and they will come!

Don’t feel too bad about the undeserved negative. I was selling there as a partner with a friend of mine for a very long time and decided to venture out with my own account again. Well I was shipping the same days I was receiving payments and going above and beyond with communication and everything and my DSR’s were horrible. I was really bummed because there was nothing else I could do short of learning how to teleport items to the buyer. lol I am so over it now. I am having so much fun here. I might use that other site every now and again cause I think auctions are fun, BUT the majority of my business will be right here! Bonanzle is my home.

Hey Welcome to Bonanzle.
I looked at you booth.
You asked for advice … Here’s some that will help you when you go to feed your items to google base.
DO NOT use all caps in your titles
DO NOT use symbols in your titles unless necessary, nobody searches for ~~ / () anyways.
Do not use promotional text in titles or descriptions. example= BEST OUT There! Everybody elses item sux but mine!
FREE SHIPPING!
Google also states that your description should only describe your item, and that you should not have shipping info in your description. Many people do have this info in their descriptions so maybe google doesn’t strictly enforce it. YOUR CALL on this one
Google doesn’t like free shipping. Take that out of your titles. That is considered promotional. If you do want to offer free shipping, just put .01 in the shipping amount. There has to be a figure in the shipping amount or google base will spit it out.
You can change your prices and shipping from rounded only to any amount by clicking edit booth and then click advanced options then under the basics edit where it says rounded prices only

I can sympathize with ya. It still burns me to think of the one neg I have received from a feeBay buyer. So I try not to think of it! Bonanzle’s better than therapy for keeping a sunny outlook (or so I’ve heard LOL)!

Ditto on the negative feedback… I received one because the buyer was upset about a Paypal glitch!! She even said that in her feedback! Tried to get them to remove it.. but .. nogo.
I sell mostly books… and folks usually want media mail because it is so cost effective….. BUT when they get to those DSR’s… they give a lower one due to the length of time…
So.. I have abandoned it all and moved here!
