AIM problems in reaching my booth??

Does any one have their AIM software working where visitors are announced via instant message when they enter your booth, or visitors use the Live Chat to reach you via remote Instant Message even when I’m not signed onto Bonanzle? When I’m signed onto Bonanzle, but not in my booth, is there some kind of alert we’re suppose to get when someone enters our booth? I get the following message when I try to sign open my AIM service to Bonanzle:
“Briteon: login
bonanzle: You are now logged in.
However, your IM program is telling our chatbot that your chat status is ‘Offline.’ We recommend that you double-check that your are marked as ‘Online’ within your IM software.”
Does anyone know how or where I go to check my AIM software to see if I am “online” or “offline” so I can receive messages from people who are in my booth even when I’m not logged onto Bonanzle? Any help is sincerely appreciated. Thank you.

You have to make yourself available in your chat. I don’t know how with AIM as I am with yahoo but someone will come in.

Hi Phyllis, no it does not work like that where you get a pop-up message when someone comes in. You have to be logged into your messenger and logged into Bonanzle to get the message. Hope that is what you were meaning.

It should be the same with AIM, as with yahoo. go to advanced options, and set your message status.

With google talk, I do get a pop up when someone enters my booth, and if someone chats in booth chat window, I get that too. I don’t have to be logged in to Bonanzle, just open my google talk, click on the bonanzle contact I added per instructions, and type login.

I have found that once I login, even if gooogletalk shows B as offline, I still get the pop ups.

Yea, I like googletalk. Very easy to set up and use.

I’m getting the same message from AIM even though my status is available. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I was getting that message on Google when I my status said available. So I logged out, marked myself busy, re-marked myself available, and logged back in. Then it was working okay. Think it’s just a glitch when you first set it up.

I know several people I tried to help with AIM, they finally gave up, got google talk and it worked fine.
