ok to simplify matters. If you do not want to read through the original post and all the comments and just get the Instructions Part, I have copied those posts over to this one..Hope this helps.
I have offered to share this option with any seller on bonanzle. The more the merrier. You have my permission to copy the poicy and or the picture. You must have a LEGAL CONTRACT ready before you offer this option. We have had this option for over 20 yrs in our brick and mortar store as well as our web sites. It is a very useful selling tool if done properly. I have tried to answer questions in the chat box in my booth. It was getting overloaded so if you have more questions you can ask here. Thanks, and Happy Sales To You.

ok I have sent pics and contract copy to those who requested it by e-mailing me. Hope you get it ok. The description in the item can probably be copied. You might want to change the color of the picture, just to make it more personal to YOUR booth.

Pieper….In my booth I have my first “custom category” as the Layaway option, so that potential buyers see that first. I might add it to my booth banner as well. For my “button” or small image, I just used my photo editing program and made it 267×198 pixels in size. Does that help?

Ok ..I just spent all morning copying and pasting e-mail to send this contract. Hope everyone got it OK. If not email me again at my regular email address: SherAhnn@aol.com Maybe I should ask to be on the staff at Bonanzle.. Just kidding. Have my own work to do maintaining 5 web sites now. Questions: ??
there was a question about the signature line. you may think that you dont need it but you can still use it in these situations: 1. If the customer is mailing you the down payment, they can print the contract and sign it and mail it back to you with their down payment.( you can also compare the signature with the signature on their check or money order)
2. If they are using an online payment option (pay pal, google, etc.), they can print it and sign it and either fax it back to you (many place have a fax service) OR they can sign it and scan it into their computer and e-mail the signed copy back to you. This just gives you a little more Legal Edge in acceptance of the contract.
Question on multiple items: We always required a separate contract for each item that is put on layaway. That way if they get one of them paid off they can get it shipped and continue to pay on the other contracts for the other remaining items. Does that make sense ???

Well here I am again. Layaway Contract: For those of you that want a copy of my layaway contract: Please go to my web site: http://www.SherAhnn.com There is the ICON on the main page and a link to the contract. You can copy both. Sorry to re-direct you but this will save me time in e-mailing a copy to each person.

Yes Sandy…after you have set up a workable layaway program for your customer, they need to go ahead and go through check-out or the make offer option. That way Bonanzle gets their fees that they are intitled to for a sale. Some items do not have the make offer option on them so you can correspond with your customer set up the contract and payments and they can put a NOTE on the check out page saying Layaway Option. Pay pal also has a place for a note and they can put in there that it is a down payment on Layaway Option. I always have my customers do this if they are making payments by Pay Pal.

There are several ways to get the total to go through check-out so the item shows sold. The entire total must be shown to Bonanzle for the final value fee. Ok..here we go : In Check-out – Have the customer choose to pay by money order or personal check or cash if you have that option. As soon as you receive the contract back and their down payment if they are paying by mail, you can mark the item paid in full on this site. You have the contract signed by them that they are paying in payments so that covers you for future payments. Bonanzle gets their fees and you get a Layway contract from the customer. Paypal payments : After acceptance of the contract, I still have the customer pick the option to pay by cash or money order. This gives ME control as to marking it paid in full. Then I go to MY pay pal account and bill them direct for the down payment and future payments. They are actually buying a CONTRACT to pay later. So the sold item is the layaway contract and it includes the shipping amount. Hope this makes sense. Maybe I need an instructions page to handle layaways.

I dont put all this information on the tag at my booth. Its better to explain it to the customer in detail through correspondence with them. Sometimes too much information on the actual description is confusing to a customer. You can clarify details with them through e-mail.

That was my own paragraph, not Mark’s, and I changed my listing because of what SherAhnn said in this thread:
http://www.bonanzle.com/forums/8/topics/2939
I think it is better, as SherAhnn said, to go ahead and complete the sale so that Bonanzle gets their fees as quickly as possible. So, as far as Bonanzle is concerned, they have been paid and the paperwork is left to me.
It’s certainly up to each booth owner to do what is easiest for them.. I just want to 1. Assure that Bonanzle gets their fees, and 2. Make it easy for me and the buyer. All items of course still stay in the booth records. Trying to keep it simple…the KISS principle ya know….
Who knows….maybe someone will come up with a better idea…Mine is not written in stone. I prefer to be the proverbial willow tree and bend, not break, with the wind.

You can probably use Bargain Basement idea above or My idea I think either one will work on this check out system. I like to give bonanzle their fees right away and hold my item personally for the balance. As if I was selling from my shop or web site. So whatever is easiest for you is the way to go. Just make sure it does not violate Bonanzle policy. Also, I have a spreadsheet that I keep track of payments on for each customer. If you would like a copy of that, please contact me. SherAhnn@aol.com This is a WORKS spreadsheet so will have to download it to you. I don’t think I can “imbed” it in mail and get all the details. ENJOY !

ok again for those who are new to this thread. You can read what we have been saying. If you want a copy of MY contact go to http://www.sherahnn.com it is on the main page. Or you can access it from the navigation bar at the top. It is a simple legal contract that was done by my attorney several years ago for my regular store and web site… I did not want a lot of “mickey mouse” legal terms in it that customers would have to wade through. So if you see anything that you think should be changed..Go for it. You will of course have to change my name and address at the top and put in yours. Lets show the world that we are an ” UP” site and ahead of the current trends.

BUMPING THIS UP for new users. Please read my previous instructions. You can see my logo and contract at my regular website. http://www.SherAhnn.com
You are welcome to copy the logo or change it in any way you choose. The contract was a LEGAL contact that my attorney drew up when I had this in my “brick & morter” store. We just changed it a little to correspond with the internet.
The more booths that offer this will get us known as an update site and fighting the current economy slump. So GO FOR IT ALL
Luv Ya Guys,
Sher

Joe, I sent you and e-mail.
No they cant sign it online unless they have an airtek pen that writes on a special mouse pad. You can e-mail the contract..They sign and mail back to you with their payment if paying by cash, money order, etc. OR fax it to you. If they are paying by Pay Pal or other services. There are several stores around that offer fax service if they dont have a fax machine.
