Including Additional Google Merchant Center Attributes

Icon Note: Google Merchant Center Attributes can, in many cases, be setup automatically by specifying detailed traits for your items. To read all about item traits, click here.

The more attributes you include in your product's descriptions the greater the chances to receive better placement in Google Products. You can place them at the end of your product descriptions in a special format, or you can use the "Search Optimize" area of the batch editor to add your Google Attributes directly.

The idea here is to include as many relevant attributes to your products as possible. All attributes to be added, whether added directly in the item description, or via the batch editor, are surrounded by double brackets and are of the form [[attr-name:attr-value]]. For example:

[[brand:Acme]]

You can add as many attributes as you'd like, as long as they're separated by a space. For instance,

[[brand:Acme]] [[color:red]] [[year:2000]]

This would help searchers find your Google products if they were searching by brand, color, or year.
